Nature in all its aspects fascinate us, but we have a particular liking for bees at Transgardon and apiculture is a major part of our lives. If you want to share this passion with us, do not hesitate to ask questions ! It would be a pleasure for us to talk to you on the subject.
You are welcome to take a walk to the bee yard if you want to get to know these delightful creatures better (of course, you will need to be accompanied).
However, do not worry if you are not a fan of biting or stinging insects. They know how to keep their distance and like flowers much more than humans… so no worries, you can also spend your entire stay without seeing any of them...

Oté la Réunion !
You will soon realize that we, Frédérique and Pascal Mathis, as your hosts do not originate from the Cevennes but from the North of France. However, we lived for 20 years on the French island of Réunion before Transgardon gave us a new lease of life. Nevertheless part of our hearts and souls remain there, so don’t be surprised if at times we gaze into the distance for beyond the mountains and ocean to the valley of Maïdo or Mafate in Réunion. Welcome to our friends from Reunion!

Extra guest (exclusively in „Chambre haute“) : 45,00 €/night. Applies to adults.
Our prices include a delicious and varied breakfast with local homemade and fresh produce from the region.
Visitor‘s tax 0,70€/night/person.
Access to your room is from 4:30pm and check-out time is by 11:00am
All our rooms are non-smoking
Because of the health constraints related to the pandemic of Covid-19, and privileging our health to all of us, we decided not to propose the table d'hôtes anymore.
We invite our guests to turn to the restaurants in the surroundings, equipped to receive them in the best conditions, and which propose the local products of quality.

Driving directions :
(Stay on the N106 road, do not take the roads to the small towns of Saint-Privat and Saint-Hilaire. They are mentioned just as markers)
When you see the sign Transgardon on the top of a mailbox, it means that you have found the parking lot!
20 meters below is the bend, where a track dug into schist rocks begins. This track leads to the hamlet (1 km long).
In any case, we strongly advise you first to stop at the parking lot, get out of the car and look for the entrance to the track before driving in. It is completely suitable and safe for motor vehicles even if it might seem a bit intimidating if it is your first visit to the Cevennes. (Except for sports cars and/or classic cars with a ground clearance of less than 10cm, and for unexperienced motorcyclists)

Afin de préserver la sérénité du site et la qualité de vie à Transgardon, nous avons décidé de limiter notre capacité d'accueil à trois chambres.
La première, la "chambre Haute", vous est ouverte depuis août 2011.
La seconde, la chambre "Guetali", a pris tout son temps pour se faire belle et vous accueillir au printemps 2013.
Quant à la troisième, la chambre "Voûtée", elle vous dévoile enfin ses belles pierres depuis le premier août !

Aménagées avec passion dans un vieux mas cévennol, dans le respect de la tradition et des matériaux locaux, nos chambres allient le charme de l'esprit d'antan et le confort de la vie moderne. Vous apprécierez :
En dehors de la chambre, vous pourrez profiter d'un coin repos aménagé à l'ombre des arbres et des vieilles pierres... Ou si vous préférez la vie 'sauvage', vous choisirez peut-être un rocher moussu du bord de rivière, ou un vieux tronc d'arbre, pour étancher votre soif de farniente... l
